Authorizes Munroe Regional Health System, Inc. to pay $250,000 to Lois H. Lacava in two installments ($125,000 within 30 days of enactment and $125,000 within 365 days thereafter) as compensation for injuries from medical negligence.

Compensates Ms. Lacava for damages resulting from failure to timely perform an arterial Doppler test after hip surgery in November 2005, which led to delayed diagnosis of a femoral artery blockage and ultimately required above-the-knee amputation of her right leg.

Establishes that the total amount paid under this act, combined with amounts paid pursuant to section 768.28, Florida Statutes, constitutes sole compensation for all present and future claims arising from the incident.

Limits attorney's fees, lobbying fees, costs, and similar expenses to 25 percent of the total amount awarded under this act.
