Removes requirement that emergency medical technicians, paramedics, 911 dispatchers, and other emergency medical personnel complete a department-approved HIV/AIDS educational course as a condition of certification or licensure.

Eliminates the mandate that institutions seeking approval for emergency medical technician and paramedic education programs must document inclusion of 4 hours of HIV/AIDS training instruction in their curriculum.

Retains existing HIV/AIDS training requirements for other licensed healthcare professionals in chapters 401, 467, 468, and 483 who must complete the course biennially for relicensure.

Makes minor technical corrections to statutory language, replacing "said" with "the" and "Florida" with "this state" for consistency.

Takes effect July 1, 2010.
