HB 5705 Summary

• Resolves collective bargaining impasses for the 2010-2011 fiscal year between the State of Florida and eight certified bargaining units by maintaining the status quo under current agreement language.

• Specifies impasse resolutions for: Florida State Fire Service Association (Articles 11, 24, 30); Police Benevolent Association - Law Enforcement Unit (Articles 8, 10, 12, 36); Police Benevolent Association - Special Agent Unit (Articles 7, 8); Police Benevolent Association - Highway Patrol Unit (Articles 10, 15); Police Benevolent Association - Security Services Unit (Article 23); Federation of Physicians and Dentists (Article 18); Florida Nurses Association (Article 8); and Federation of Public Employees - Lottery Administration and Support Unit (Article 6).

• All other mandatory collective bargaining issues at impasse not addressed by this act or the General Appropriations Act shall be resolved consistent with personnel rules in effect as of May 1, 2010, and by maintaining status quo under current collective bargaining agreements.

• Takes effect July 1, 2010.
