Eliminates the requirement for the Commissioner of Agriculture to submit the South Florida Tropical Fruit Plan, progress reports, and budget requests to the Legislature (previously required to be sent to Senate President, House Speaker, and committee chairs)

Removes the mandate for biennial plan updates and annual progress reports to legislative officials

Retains the Commissioner's duty to develop and update the South Florida Tropical Fruit Plan in consultation with the Tropical Fruit Advisory Council

Maintains all plan components including research priorities, proposed legislation, market development, production standards, and business planning elements

Effective date: July 1, 2010
