Deletes subsection (8) of Florida Statute 627.0629, which established a Citizens Property Insurance Corporation grant program for residential property structural soundness evaluations related to hurricane wind resistance.

Removes provisions authorizing grants to homeowners for evaluations of home integrity and recommendations for hurricane-resistant retrofits, along with cost estimates for recommended improvements.

Eliminates the Department of Community Affairs' authority to establish rules governing evaluation quality, evaluator eligibility, and applicant selection for the grant program.

Removes requirements for the Citizens Property Insurance Corporation to identify high wind-risk areas and recommend priority target areas for evaluations.

Renumbers former subsection (9) to subsection (8), which requires property insurance rate filings related to Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund payments to include complete catastrophe load calculations.

Effective date: July 1, 2010.
