Repeals all sections of chapter 289, Florida Statutes, which established and governed the Florida Industrial Development Corporation.

Removes references to the Florida Industrial Development Corporation from multiple statutes including tax credit provisions (ss. 212.08, 220.183), banking definitions (s. 220.62), workers' compensation (s. 440.491), and bank investment powers (s. 658.67).

Eliminates the Florida Industrial Development Corporation as an eligible sponsor for community contribution tax credit programs, renumbering remaining eligible sponsors accordingly.

Removes authorization for banks to invest up to 1 percent of capital accounts in stock of the Florida Industrial Development Corporation.

Effective date is July 1, 2010.
