Exempts statements of reference held by the Board of Pharmacy for practitioners seeking controlled substance dispensing registration from public records requirements under Florida law and the state constitution

Exception allows disclosure of statements of reference if they are used in an investigation that results in a finding of probable cause

Exemption is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and automatically repeals on October 2, 2015, unless the Legislature reenacts it

Legislature finds the confidentiality necessary to encourage candid responses from reference providers and protect safe dispensing of prescription drugs susceptible to abuse

Takes effect contingent upon House Bill 225 or similar legislation being adopted in the same legislative session and becoming law
