North Broward Hospital District directed to pay Charles Pandrea $608,554.78 as compensation for the death of his wife Janet Pandrea, who died April 2, 2002, from complications of chemotherapy based on a misdiagnosis of benign thymoma as non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Payment represents the remainder of a $808,554.78 judgment returned June 8, 2005, after the hospital district paid the statutory limit of $200,000 under Florida law.

Attorney's fees, lobbying fees, and other costs relating to the claim are limited to 25 percent of the $608,554.78 award.

Combined payment from the hospital district (statutory limit plus this appropriation) constitutes sole compensation for all present and future claims arising from Janet Pandrea's death.
