Allows law enforcement officers, firefighters, correctional officers, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and community-based correctional probation officers who retired under disability retirement provisions to be reemployed and continue receiving disability retirement benefits.

Reemployed disabled retirees may not work in the same position they held at the time of disabling illness or injury, nor in any position in the Special Risk Class.

Employing agencies must pay applicable retirement contributions when reemploying disabled retirees, and must obtain written statements that employees are not retired from another state-administered retirement system.

Disabled retirees and employers are jointly and severally liable for repayment of any benefits paid in violation of reemployment limitations, with benefits remaining suspended until repayment is made.
