Creates a public records exemption for home addresses, telephone numbers, and photographs of current or former public defenders, assistant public defenders, criminal conflict and civil regional counsel, and their assistants

Exempts home addresses, telephone numbers, and places of employment of spouses and children of covered attorneys, as well as names and locations of schools and day care facilities attended by their children

Exemption applies to information held by any custodial agency and requires written request for exemption maintenance from the attorney or employing agency

Exemption is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and will automatically repeal on October 2, 2015, unless reenacted by the Legislature

Takes effect July 1, 2010
