Motor vehicle registration application forms must include a voluntary $1 contribution option to Florida Network of Children's Advocacy Centers, Inc., distributed quarterly by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Florida Network of Children's Advocacy Centers, Inc. may retain a maximum of 50 percent of revenues collected to support network activities, with the remainder distributed equitably among network members as determined by the board of directors.

This amendment adds a new subsection (i) to section 320.02, Florida Statutes, which already contained voluntary contribution options for seven other organizations including Prevent Blindness Florida, Southeastern Guide Dogs, and Stop Heart Disease.

Contributions received under this provision are not considered income of a revenue nature for purposes of service charges under section 215.20, Florida Statutes.

The act takes effect July 1, 2010.
