Allows virtual schools operated by approved providers under Florida Statute 1002.45 to be designated as charter schools under the charter school authorization provisions of section 1002.33.

Exempts virtual charter schools from provisions pertaining to school facilities and student transportation requirements.

Maintains the requirement that only approved public schools may use the term "charter" in their name.

Takes effect July 1, 2010.
