Adds requirement that courts may order respondents in domestic violence injunctions to surrender any weapons identified in the order to law enforcement within 12 hours or less.

Authorizes arrest for violation of s. 790.233 and issuance of search warrants for respondent's residence, vehicle, and other locations if weapon is not surrendered as ordered.

Establishes weapon surrender as a new relief provision (item 7) in the list of protections courts may grant in domestic violence injunction cases.

Updates cross-reference in injunction duration provisions from item 7 to item 8 for "other relief" provisions due to addition of weapon surrender requirement.

Effective date: July 1, 2010.
