Deletes requirement for Department of Juvenile Justice to submit annual report on performance of assessment and treatment services for serious or habitual juvenile offenders to the Governor, Attorney General, President of Senate, Speaker of House, and Auditor General by January 1 each year

Deletes requirement for Department of Juvenile Justice to submit annual report on performance of assessment and treatment services for intensive residential treatment program for offenders less than 13 years of age to the Governor, Attorney General, President of Senate, Speaker of House, Auditor General, and Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability by January 1 each year

Repeals section 985.625(5), eliminating requirement that Department of Juvenile Justice and Department of Education jointly develop, implement, and report annually on literacy programs for juvenile offenders

Repeals section 985.636, eliminating authority for Secretary of Juvenile Justice to designate Office of Inspector General personnel to enforce criminal laws and conduct criminal investigations related to state-operated programs and facilities

Takes effect July 1, 2010
