Creates s. 775.0862, F.S. to reclassify sexual battery offenses committed by authority figures against students in educational institutions

Defines "authority figure" as school officers, teachers, administrators, volunteers, and education service providers employed by or contracting with educational institutions serving early learning through grade 12 students

Increases felony degree by one level: third degree felonies become second degree, second degree become first degree, and first degree become life felonies when committed by authority figures against students

Requires reclassified offenses to be ranked one level above the standard ranking under the Criminal Punishment Code for sentencing and gain-time eligibility purposes

Takes effect October 1, 2010
