Amends section 395.3025, Florida Statutes, to authorize the Department of Health to collaborate with and disclose patient information to the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for epidemiological monitoring purposes.

Allows information sharing through epidemiological monitoring systems that both the Department of Health and CDC staff can access, provided the systems meet federal standards for protecting personal health information.

Maintains existing prohibition on unauthorized release of individually identifiable patient information by department agents, which remains a first-degree misdemeanor.

Takes effect July 1, 2010.
