Prohibits members of the Legislature, statewide officeholders, and candidates for legislative or statewide office from directly or indirectly soliciting or accepting contributions to political committees, committees of continuous existence, electioneering communications organizations, or organizations operating under IRC section 527, with exceptions for political parties and the candidate's own campaign.

Prohibits the specified individuals from controlling, coordinating, or consulting with any such committee or organization.

Establishes violation of these provisions as a felony of the third degree, punishable under Florida Statutes sections 775.082, 775.083, or 775.084.

Effective July 1, 2010.
