Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development shall designate catalyst sites as rural enterprise zones upon request from the host county, notwithstanding existing law under s. 290.0065, Florida Statutes

Eligible catalyst sites must have been approved prior to January 1, 2010 and must not already be located in an existing rural enterprise zone

Host county request must include the legal description of the catalyst site and name and contact information for the county development authority managing the site

Businesses in designated catalyst sites receive the same eligibility for economic incentives and benefits as businesses in rural enterprise zones under s. 290.0065, Florida Statutes

Reporting requirements and criteria for designated catalyst sites are identical to those for other rural enterprise zones; host county development authorities may enter into memoranda of agreement to coordinate implementation
