Authorizes the chief judge of a circuit court to assign jury system management duties to the court administrator that are otherwise assigned to the clerk of court by law.

Requires the clerk of court to continue performing duties related to processing jurors, including qualifications, summons, selection lists, reporting, and compensation, unless specifically assigned to the court administrator.

Allows the chief judge to designate the court administrator to perform jury selection duties specified in sections 40.221, 40.23, and 40.231 if funding is received from any source for that purpose.

Permits the clerk of court to contract with the chief judge for court assistance in providing jury processing services.

Takes effect July 1, 2010.
