Removes the Statewide Intermodal Transportation Advisory Council from the Strategic Intermodal System Plan statute and eliminates all provisions establishing the council's structure, membership, and duties.

Eliminates references to the council in the department's development of the Strategic Intermodal System Plan, which will now be developed in cooperation with metropolitan planning organizations, regional planning councils, local governments, and other transportation providers.

Removes the council from the Florida Transportation Commission's annual assessment process for evaluating progress on Strategic Intermodal System goals related to economic development, mobility, and intermodal connectivity.

Takes effect July 1, 2010.
