Expands medical exemption certificates for window sunscreening to include Lupus, autoimmune diseases, and other medical conditions requiring limited light exposure, with the department consulting the Medical Advisory Board for guidance on qualifying conditions.

Exempts law enforcement vehicles used in undercover or canine operations from window sunscreening requirements under Florida Statutes sections 316.2951-316.2957.

Exempts vehicles owned or leased by private investigative agencies or private investigators licensed under chapter 493 from window sunscreening restrictions.

Authorizes the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to charge fees sufficient to cover expenses of issuing medical exemption certificates and to adopt implementing rules.

Effective date: July 1, 2010.
