Authorizes certified process servers in certain counties to serve writs of possession in residential property eviction actions, in addition to their existing authority to serve initial civil process and criminal subpoenas.

Allows landlords to select a certified process server to serve writs of possession after judgment is entered, as an alternative to having the sheriff serve the writ.

Requires certified process servers to provide written notice to the sheriff within 12 hours after posting a writ of possession, including the date and time of posting.

Applies only to counties as defined in section 125.011 of Florida law.

Takes effect July 1, 2011.
