Creates four new Florida Statutes sections (320.0892, 320.08921, 320.08922, 320.08923) authorizing the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to issue special license plates for military medal recipients.

Eligible recipients must be United States citizens and Florida residents who received the Silver Star, Distinguished Service Cross, Navy Cross, or Air Force Cross while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Each special license plate displays the medal name followed by a serial number, with the medal name stamped on the plate.

License plates are issued without payment of the license tax required under section 320.08, provided the applicant submits proof meeting the eligibility qualifications.

Effective date is October 1, 2011.
