Exempts information furnished to agencies for emergency notification purposes from public records disclosure requirements, including names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, and other electronic communication addresses.

Exemption applies retroactively to information held by agencies before, on, or after the effective date of the exemption.

Establishes that the exemption encourages participation in emergency notification programs by protecting personal information from disclosure that could enable criminal misuse.

Subjects the exemption to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and automatically repeals on October 2, 2016, unless the Legislature reenacts it.

Takes effect July 1, 2011.
