Creates section 558.0035, F.S., limiting liability for engineers, surveyors and mappers, architects, interior designers, and registered landscape architects for economic damages resulting from construction defects within the scope of their contracts.

Prohibits contracts from limiting a design professional's liability in a manner inconsistent with required professional liability insurance coverage.

Excludes from liability limitations: claims for economic damages from personal injury or damage to property outside the contract scope, and cases where the contracting party fails to maintain required insurance coverage.

Amends sections 471.023, 472.021, 481.219, and 481.319, F.S., to add cross-references to the new liability limitation statute for design professionals.

Effective July 1, 2011, and applies only to contracts entered into or services performed on or after that date.
