Amends section 1003.52, Florida Statutes, to authorize district school boards to offer adult education GED test preparation courses and adult education career education courses as electives to high school level students in Department of Juvenile Justice programs

Restricts eligibility for these elective courses to students whose transition plans do not include return to public high school

Maintains funding for GED preparation program participants at the basic program cost factor for Department of Juvenile Justice programs under the Florida Education Finance Program

Requires all juvenile justice programs to provide the GED exit option to students

Effective date: July 1, 2011
