Creates Part VII of Chapter 497 (sections 497.701-497.721) consolidating laws on unclaimed human remains and the anatomical board, transferring and renumbering provisions from Chapter 406.

Prohibits cremation, anatomical donation, burial at sea, or removal from state of remains whose identity is unknown; requires reasonable efforts to identify deceased persons and contact relatives before disposition.

Requires notification to anatomical board when unclaimed remains are received, with exceptions for decomposed/mutilated remains, autopsied bodies, contagious diseases, family objection, and eligible veterans; allows county commissions to establish policies for indigent remains disposition.

Mandates anatomical board retain human remains for at least 48 hours before use; permits legally authorized persons to claim remains before use by paying transportation, embalming, and storage expenses.

Prohibits selling, buying, or conveying human remains outside or within Florida (felony), with exceptions for anatomical board transfers, medical/dental schools, and accredited museums conveying plastinated remains with proper documentation and notification.
