Expands public records exemptions to include names, home addresses, telephone numbers, social security numbers, photographs, and places of employment of spouses and children of active or former law enforcement and investigatory personnel.

Extends public records exemptions to current or former firefighters certified under s. 633.35, including their home addresses, telephone numbers, social security numbers, and photographs, as well as information about their spouses and children.

Protects names and locations of schools and day care facilities attended by children of covered law enforcement personnel and firefighters from public disclosure.

Makes exemptions subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act with repeal dates of October 2, 2016, unless the Legislature reviews and reenacts them.

Effective July 1, 2011, citing public necessity to protect employee and family safety from potential violence by individuals with criminal records or those engaged in criminal activity.
