Authorizes the Sheriff of Broward County to pay $7,500,000 to Eric Brody for injuries sustained in a March 3, 1998 motor vehicle accident caused by a Broward County Sheriff's Deputy driving at excessive speed and negligently steering into Brody's vehicle.

Permits the Sheriff to assign to Eric Brody all claims against the Broward County Sheriff's Office's liability insurance carrier for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, bad faith, and related claims in lieu of making direct payment.

Clarifies that an insurance assignment does not impair Brody's right to pursue the final judgment and cost judgment against the insurer, less the $200,000 already paid by the Sheriff's Office.

Limits attorney's fees, lobbying fees, costs, and related expenses on the claim against the Sheriff's Office to 25 percent of the $7,500,000 award, with no such limitation on fees earned from pursuing assigned claims against the insurer.

Establishes that the $200,000 paid under Florida Statutes § 768.28 plus the $7,500,000 awarded under this act constitute sole compensation for all claims arising from Brody's injuries.
