Commission on Ethics and Elections Commission must notify the Chief Financial Officer or governing bodies of counties, municipalities, or special districts of any fines owed by elected officials to these commissions

Chief Financial Officer or governing bodies shall withhold salary payments from elected officials who owe fines to either commission, with payments remitted to the commission until the fine is satisfied

Withheld salary payments are reduced by applicable state and federal taxes before being applied to outstanding fines

Chief Financial Officer or governing bodies may retain up to 2 percent of each withheld payment to cover their administrative costs
