Removes $100,000 bond requirement for prescription drug wholesale distributors and out-of-state prescription drug wholesale distributors applying for new or renewal permits.

Requires the Department of Health to notify applicants of permit status within 60 days after receipt of all required documentation.

Eliminates separate, detailed application requirements for prescription drug wholesale distributors and out-of-state distributors, making all applicants subject to the same standard application requirements.

Changes insurance coverage requirement for wholesale distributors purchasing from other distributors to be based on total dollar volume of prescription drug sales in the previous year (rather than reported estimates).

Effective July 1, 2011.
