HB 1469 Summary

• Redirects 25 percent of lottery funds appropriated for fixed capital outlay and debt service to classroom use and operations beginning in fiscal year 2011-2012

• Amends section 1010.70 to specify that redirected lottery funds cannot substitute for general funds previously allocated for classroom purposes

• Amends section 1013.71 to establish the Lottery Capital Outlay and Debt Service Trust Fund, administered by the Department of Education to account for lottery funds separately from current operations

• Directs lottery funds appropriated for capital outlay and debt service to be transferred from the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund to the new Lottery Capital Outlay and Debt Service Trust Fund

• Takes effect July 1, 2011
