Deletes subsection (8) of Florida Statute 627.0629, which established a Citizens Property Insurance Corporation grant program for homeowners to obtain structural soundness evaluations of their homes' wind resistance and hurricane damage prevention capabilities.

Removes the requirement for the Department of Community Affairs to establish rules governing evaluation standards, evaluator eligibility, applicant selection, and fraud prevention measures for the now-deleted grant program.

Eliminates the requirement that the Citizens Property Insurance Corporation identify high wind-risk areas and recommend priority target areas annually to the Department of Community Affairs for evaluations.

Renumbers former subsection (9) to subsection (8), which addresses property insurance rate filings related to the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund and requires complete calculation of catastrophe load in rate filings.

Takes effect July 1, 2011.
