Deletes the requirement for students in grades 6 through 8 to complete one class period per day of physical education for one semester each year.

Removes reporting and auditing requirements for student enrollment in physical education instruction for grades 6-8.

Eliminates waiver provisions that allowed students to be excused from physical education if enrolled in remedial courses, if parents requested alternative courses, or if students participated in outside physical activities meeting the mandated requirement.

Maintains the requirement of 150 minutes of physical education per week for students in kindergarten through grade 5.

Takes effect July 1, 2011.
