Designates April 12, 2011, as "Florida State University Day" in Florida.

Recognizes Florida State University's location in Tallahassee on the oldest continuous site of higher education in the state, which hosts the state's oldest Phi Beta Kappa chapter, chartered in 1935.

Acknowledges FSU's designation as a "Research I" institution by the Carnegie Foundation in 1994 and its 322 academic programs across 15 colleges and schools taught by 2,285 faculty members, including 12 National Academy of Sciences members and five Nobel Laureates.

Highlights FSU's achievements including 80+ nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships awarded to students since 2005 (including Rhodes, Truman, Goldwater, Hollings, Pickering, and Fulbright scholarships), the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, and the Institute for Energy Systems, Economics, and Sustainability.

Recognizes the Florida State University College of Medicine's 11th anniversary as the nation's newest fully accredited medical school and its commitment to training physicians for underserved populations.
