Appropriates $882,322.22 from the General Revenue Fund to Laura D. Strazza as compensation for injuries sustained in a 1996 motor vehicle accident involving a Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services employee's transport truck.

Directs the Chief Financial Officer to issue a warrant to Laura Strazza for the full appropriated amount from the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services funds in the State Treasury.

Limits total attorney's fees, lobbying fees, costs, and similar expenses relating to this claim to a maximum of 25 percent of the amount awarded under the act.

Establishes that the $100,000 previously paid under Florida Statutes s. 768.28 and this appropriation constitute sole compensation for all present and future claims arising from the accident.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
