Operators of electronic-based game promotions offering prizes with announced value greater than $1 must comply with filing, trust account, winner disclosure, and anti-coercion requirements previously applicable only to promotions exceeding $5,000 in total prize value.

Operators of game promotions with total announced prizes exceeding $5,000 must file rules and a prize list with the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services at least 7 days before commencement and pay a $100 filing fee.

Operators must establish a trust account or surety bond equal to the total value of all prizes offered, which may only be withdrawn upon certification of winners and prize amounts to the Department.

Operators must provide the Department with a certified list of all winners receiving prizes valued over $25 within 60 days after winners are determined, and maintain all winning entries for 90 days after the game closes.

Operators are prohibited from forcing lessees, agents, or franchise dealers to participate in game promotions, with coercion presumed when business practices materially change following refusal to participate.
