Licensed concealed carry permit holders may briefly and openly display their firearm without violating open carry laws, unless displayed in an angry or threatening manner outside of self-defense.

The Division of Licensing of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services may now take fingerprints from concealed carry license applicants in addition to law enforcement agencies.

Concealed carry licenses do not authorize carrying firearms into 15 specified locations including courthouses, schools, polling places, legislative buildings, airports' sterile areas, and establishments serving alcohol for on-premises consumption.

Licensed concealed carry permit holders cannot be prohibited from carrying or storing firearms in vehicles for lawful purposes.

Residents of Florida may purchase, trade, or transfer rifles and shotguns from licensed dealers in other states without the standard federal background check requirements, and section 790.28 relating to rifle and shotgun purchases in contiguous states is repealed.
