Amends Florida Statutes section 790.06 to create an exemption allowing state legislators, county commissioners, school board members, state attorneys, public defenders, and county constitutional officers to carry concealed weapons in meetings of their governing bodies.

Exempts the specified officeholders from the general prohibition on carrying concealed weapons at meetings of county, municipal, school district, and special district governing bodies.

Maintains all other existing restrictions on where concealed weapon license holders cannot carry firearms, including courthouses, schools, airports, and other sensitive locations.

Effective date is July 1, 2011.
