Amends requirements for waiving physical education in public schools by allowing students to submit a doctor's note specifying health reasons for nonparticipation.

Removes the requirement that a parent must indicate whether they request the student enroll in another course option offered by the school district as grounds for waiver.

Retains existing waiver criteria for students enrolled in remedial courses and those participating in physical activities outside school that meet or exceed mandated requirements.

Takes effect July 1, 2011.
