Recognizes Miami-Dade Police Department detectives Roger Castillo and Amanda Haworth, who were fatally shot on January 20, 2011, while serving a murder warrant at a Miami residence.

Detective Castillo died at the scene and Detective Haworth died during emergency surgery; Detective Diedre Beecher was injured but survived, and Detective Oscar Plasencia returned fire and killed the suspect.

Detective Castillo was a 21-year veteran born in Miami, married with three sons (Anthony, Michael, and Brian), and served in the department since age 20.

Detective Haworth was a 23-year veteran and Miami Sunset High School and Miami-Dade College graduate who served in the Strategic and Specialized Investigations Bureau since January 2003, and had a 13-year-old son named Austin.

Expresses the gratitude of all Floridians for the bravery, heroism, and dedication of the fallen detectives in their service to the state.
