Department of Children and Family Services directed to implement a demonstration project in circuit 18 to expand crisis stabilization unit beds from 30 to a maximum of 50 beds.

Existing public or private crisis stabilization units in circuit 18 authorized to increase bed capacity to assess impact on service availability.

Department required to evaluate the impact of bed expansion on crisis stabilization services to clients.

Effective date is July 1, 2011.
