SB 1154 Summary

• Removes the requirement that the Division of Pari-mutuel Wagering contract for compulsive and addictive gambling prevention services in slot machine facilities.

• Eliminates the $250,000 annual nonrefundable regulatory fee that slot machine licensees paid to fund gambling prevention programs.

• Modifies section 550.135 to remove references to the gambling prevention program fee from the distribution of moneys in the Pari-mutuel Wagering Trust Fund.

• Retains the requirement that slot machine licensees offer employee training on responsible gaming and work with gambling prevention programs to recognize and address problem gaming.

• Takes effect July 1, 2011.
