Expands the alternative high school course credit pilot project from three to five school districts, beginning in the 2012-2013 school year instead of 2008-2009

School districts must submit letters of interest by January 1, 2012, and the Commissioner of Education will select participating districts by March 1, 2012

Adds Algebra II, Anatomy, and Physiology to the list of eligible courses for which alternative credit may be earned through industry certification programs

Requires students to pass end-of-course assessments measuring proficiency in Next Generation Sunshine State Standards, with approved assessments limited to Florida Virtual School or statewide standardized assessments

Requires the Commissioner of Education to submit a report to state leadership by July 1, 2014, detailing student participation and recommendations for expanding alternative credit programs
