Amends physical education requirements to eliminate the one class period per day mandate for students in grades 6-8 beginning with the 2009-2010 school year.

Removes reporting and auditing requirements for student enrollment in physical education instruction in grades 6-8.

Deletes waiver provisions that allowed students to be excused from physical education if enrolled in remedial courses or if parents requested alternatives or documented outside physical activities.

Retains the 150 minutes per week physical education requirement for kindergarten through grade 5 students.

Takes effect July 1, 2011.
