Requires district school boards to provide 150 minutes of physical education instruction each week for students in kindergarten through grade 6 with at least 30 consecutive minutes per day.

Mandates one class period per day of physical education for one semester each year for students in grades 6-8, beginning with the 2009-2010 school year.

Allows physical education requirements to be waived for one semester each year if a student is enrolled in remedial courses, has a scheduling conflict with another required course, or participates in physical activities outside school that meet or exceed the mandated requirement.

Permits waiver of physical education requirements upon submission of a physician's note specifying health reasons why the student should not participate in physical education.

Requires schools to notify parents of available waiver options before scheduling students to participate in physical education.
