Exempts from public records requirements any Commission on Ethics determination regarding alleged violations of the Code of Ethics for Public Officers and Employees, keeping such information confidential until dismissal, the violator's written request for disclosure, or a probable cause determination.

Exempts proceedings conducted by the Commission on Ethics or local Commissions on Ethics and Public Trust from open meetings requirements when handling information or referrals of alleged ethics violations.

Authorizes the Commission on Ethics and its staff to share investigative information with criminal investigative agencies despite confidentiality requirements.

Moves the automatic repeal date of these exemptions from October 2, 2015 to October 2, 2016 under the Open Government Sunset Review Act.

Specifies that the exemptions protect individuals under investigation from potential defamation and reputational harm while preventing unnecessary public scrutiny of proceedings.
