Extends the period between parole interview dates from 2 years to 7 years for most inmates whose parole release orders have been vacated by the court.

Requires periodic parole interviews every 7 years for inmates convicted of murder, attempted murder, sexual battery, attempted sexual battery, kidnapping, or robbery/burglary offenses in which a sexual act is completed or attempted.

Applies the 7-year interview schedule to inmates sentenced to a 25-year minimum mandatory sentence previously provided in section 775.082.

Permits the parole commission to schedule interviews before the 7-year period if an inmate is within 7 years of their tentative release date.

Effective date: July 1, 2011.
