Requires ultrasound examination for all women obtaining abortion, performed by physician or trained technician, with live images reviewed and explained by qualified medical personnel before informed consent.

Exempts women from viewing ultrasound images if they provide documentation of rape, incest, domestic violence, human trafficking, or serious medical condition creating substantial risk if pregnancy continues.

Requires women declining to view ultrasound to sign form certifying the decision was made freely, without undue influence.

Mandates ultrasound evaluation for all abortion patients regardless of trimester, with physician responsible for estimating gestational age and maintaining ultrasound prints in medical records.

Takes effect July 1, 2011.
