Expands the definition of "career offender" under the Florida Career Offender Registration Act to include persons convicted of felony domestic violence offenses (second degree or higher).

Defines "severe domestic violence offender" as a person convicted of domestic violence under s. 741.28 classified as a felony of the second degree or higher.

Subjects severe domestic violence offenders to the same registration, community notification, and verification requirements as other career offenders, including lifetime registration unless the conviction is pardoned or set aside.

Establishes penalties for violations, including felony of the third degree for failing to register or maintain registration, and felony of the second degree for remaining in the state after reporting intent to leave.

Takes effect October 1, 2011.
